They are water resistant (5,000 mm water column). They handle drizzle and wet weather well, but in persistent heavy rain we recommend a shell jacket with a higher water column.

Fabric softener forms a film over the fabric fibres, which means the jacket stops “breathing” and loses its ability to transport moisture away.
