Waterproof winter clothes with smart functions
It´s important that the children´s clothes withstand wet, that they keep the child warm enough and that they´re comfy to move around in. It´s this kind of winter clothes you´ll find at Villervalla. Our winter jackets, shell clothes, parkas, winter trousers and overalls all have properties such as:
• 8000 water columns
• Taped seams
• Reinforcements on the knees and buttocks
• Adjustable cuffs with snow stop and holes for the thumb
• Removable elastic bands under the foot
• Reflexes on arms and legs
• Made of durable, non-toxic materials
Remember the accessories!
It´s easy to forget the accessories, but they are often the ones that complete the outfit. For example, we have comfortable
gloves for both baby and children such as warm ski gloves, baby gloves and mittens.
Our hats, on the other hand, keep the head comfortably warm and are available in many different models and materials. Choose a cotton hat at cooler temperatures and a knitted one at colder.
False collars provide a good protection for the neck.
Non-toxic, Swedish-designed winter clothes for children
We are very happy to present outerwear that does not contain any perfluorinated substances or fluorocarbons. Instead, they have a polyurethane coating on the back of the fabric, which prevents water from getting through. The high quality of Villervalla's clothes means that they can be washed several times without losing any color or function and they can easily be inherited when the child has grown out of them. In other words, shopping at Villervalla is sustainable for both the environment and your wallet.
And did you know that the nice, playful patterns on our children´s clothes are drawn inhouse? This makes Villervalla´s clothes completely unique.
Overall or two-piece - What should I choose?
Do you hesitate between
thermal pants and
winter jacket or an
overall? What to choose depends on how old your child is and what features you are looking for. Young children can advantageously be dressed in overalls when they are out playing, because the overalls are easy to put on and take off and do not get chubby in the same way as a jacket can be on smaller children. If, on the other hand, the child is sitting in a pram with a travel bag, an overall can become too hot.
The advantage of choosing thermal pants and jacket is of course that it is easy to vary clothing according to temperature and purpose.
Shell clothes or winter clothes?
Some prefer to use the layer-on-layer principle with shell clothing, even in winter. The whole thing is a bit of a matter of taste and of course depends on how cold the winter is where you live. If you want to know more about how shell clothing for children works, feel free to read our guide here!
Checklist - Winter clothes
To be ready for all the challenges of winter, the children´s wardrobe should include:
• Winter overalls, scale overalls or thermal trousers and winter jacket / shell jacket (remember not to choose a bigger size, the garment then risks becoming chubby and uncomfortable to move in. It should not be too tight either.)
• Waterproof gloves
• Gloves for cooler temperatures
• Hat; a cotton hat and a warmer, knitted one
• False collar
